Delivery specs for landscape AI video, as each vendor states them

Broadcast term: frame interpolation

Frame interpolation creates new frames between existing ones to raise the frame rate or slow motion down smoothly. The new frames are estimated, not generated from the prompt. From 3 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.

Three vendors describe it: one raises smoothness to 60 FPS on paid plans, one interpolates to 120fps when upscaling, and one converts to targets from 23.98 to 120.

Interpolation can smooth motion but can also add artefacts at edges and in fast action.

For drama the usual reason to interpolate is a frame-rate mismatch with the programme, not smoothness for its own sake; a 24 fps look is often the point.

A conversion between 24 and 25 fps can also be done by speeding the programme up by four percent, the old film-to-PAL method, which avoids interpolated frames altogether.
